Awareness workshop on plastics pollution and management with Agra Municipal Corporation (6th Dec 2024)

UNEP with its implementing partner National Productivity Council (NPC),  in collaboration with the Municipal Corporation (Nagar Nigam) of Agra and under the aegis of the India-Norway Marine Pollution Initiative, UNEP, organised a training and awareness program on Single sue plastics (SUP) bans and alternatives in Agra, on 6^th December 2024. The program aimed to spread awareness on bans on single use plastics and potential alternatives to these, based on life cycle based assessment studies. The workshop was inaugurated by Additional Municipal Commissioner of Agra Nagar Nigam Mr. Surendra Prasad Yadav, and was attended by more than 30 representatives from the municipal corporation, Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board and private sector.
