UNEP with its implementing partner National Productivity Council (NPC) in collaboration with the Municipal Corporation of Mangalore under the aegis of the India-Norway Marine Pollution Initiative, UNEP, organised a training and awareness program on plastic waste management in Mangalore, Karnataka, on 21st November 2024. The program aimed to spread awareness on bans on single use plastics and potential alternatives to these based on life cycle based assessment studies. The workshop was inaugurated by Honourable Mayor and Deputy Mayor and was attended by more than 60 participants of municipal corporation.
