UNEP with its partner Chintan conducted an awareness workshop on 12th December 2024 at the Municipal Corporation Hall, Munger, engaging 100 students and 10 teachers from four different schools. The workshop introduced the fundamentals of waste management and the importance of waste segregation at the source. UNEP with the support of Chintan conducted a capacity building programme with BWGs in Munger Municipal Corporation targeting students (on waste segregation, SUPs and alternatives) on 9th January, 2025. The programme was attended by representatives of more than 25 bulk waste generators in Munger. The workshop was a part of the continued effort to promote awareness of plastic waste management amongst the community.
