UNEP with its implementing partner Chintan organized an awareness programme on effective waste segregation and sustainable alternatives on 6th October 2024 in Kashim Bazaar, Munger. This workshop engaged community group members and focused on the environmental impact of poor waste management. Participants learned about the importance of proper segregation and disposal practices. The training highlighted the concerns with Single-Use Plastics (SUPs) and discussed accessible, sustainable alternatives. Community-led waste reduction strategies and action steps were also discussed to support a plastic-pollution free future.
