Toolkit – Preparing City Solid Waste Action Plan Under SBM 2.0

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, mandates every Indian city to prepare and submit a “City Solid Waste Action Plan (CSWAP)” to seek additional financial assistance to adopt and implement a sustainable solid waste management ecosystem. This toolkit is designed to build capacity of the Urban Local Bodies to facilitate the process of preparing CSWAP. It provides a step-by-step guide to collect relevant data after careful assessment of the situation on the ground and furnish them in a systematic manner with the objective to maximise treatment and processing of waste so that least of it ends up in the landfill.
