SINTEF organised a special session in the International Conference- 12th IconSWM-CE in Tirupati on 30th November 2022 in association with the IconSWM secretariat. In the special session, the keynote was delivered by Dr. Kåre Helge Karstensen, Chief Scientist- SINTEF and Programme Manager of the OPTOCE. IconSWM-CE felicitated the exceptional contributions made by the cement industry in co-processing. The awards were given to 13 Indian cement plants in four categories:
- i. Highest Thermal Substitution Rate (TSR) achieved,
- ii. Highest volume of RDF and plastic waste co-processed,
- iii. Highest volume of alternative fuels and raw materials co-processed, and
- iv. Investments made by the plants for co-processing;
